Value Education Programme
The Mission Statement of our School is a constant source of guidance for the Value Education program.
MISSION STATEMEMNT

¨New Era High School is an International Bahaí Co-educational Institution, which aims through moral and academic excellence to produce promoters of social transformation imbued with the spirit of service to mankind.¨

The main objective of value education is to guide the student to be an agent of positive change and transformation of the society and this philosophy is rooted in the Bahai writings. The school has designed a value education curriculum to cater to the needs of the students as well as the society as a whole.

School Assembly

Monday:

The Virtue of the Week is introduced by a teacher in the Students Assembly. Then the teacher explains the spiritual and material significances of the Virtue. Many relevant and thought provoking questions are asked to the students about the Virtue of the Week.



Happy Hippo Show

The program of Happy Hippo Show is totally a new experience to students. Therefore, necessary guidance are given to the teachers and dorm parents.
The fundamental goals of the Happy Hippo Show are:
(a)The development of collective thinking in a search for positive solutions to the problems in life
(b)Cultivation of positive thought, action and behavior in the minds of young people
c)Encouragement and development of leadership skills
(d)Prevention of crimes through discussions on thinking leading to criminal actions.


Students Devotional Assemblies
Prayers form differnet religions,, readings from Holy writings, reports, announcements , national anthem or school song are an integral part of the assembly.
Monday Devotional Assembly: 9.05 to 9.40 A.M.

Introducing the the Virtue: The class teacher and students introduce the virtue and speaks about it. Students exhibit quotations about it on charts.
Friday Devotional Assembly: 9.05 to 9.40 A.M.
