TREES

Trees are of different kinds and shapes. Trees are tall, big, beautiful and useful. They give us fruits and vegetables from which we make food. Trees give us wood from which we make furniture. Trees give us shade when there is very hot sun. They give us beautiful flowers. They also give us oxygen and rain. Trees also give us medicines. Some animals like monkeys and squirrels spend most of their time on trees. They eat many fruits of the trees. Jungles and forests are home of many animals. The first living thing on earth was the plants. We should avoid cutting trees and take care of them. They are very useful to us. If we look after trees properly, we will have many trees. Of course we all want many trees around us so that the earth will look nicer with many trees and plants. So we should plant a tree and create beauty.

I WISH...

I wish I would be a teacher,

My office would be a school;

I would use a blackboard, chalk and duster to teach.

I would teach students how to read, write and do sums;

I would teach them to care

and how to play and share.

The Day When Everything Went Wrong

I got up at 6:30 a.m. and got ready for school. I told my father to drop me. My father smiled and reminded me that it was a Sunday that day. I changed to my coloured clothes and went out to play. At 2:30 p.m. My mummy came looking for me. Then I came home and got a good scolding. In the evening my mother told me that we were going to have our dinner in a hotel. I told my father that I had to go to my friend’s birthday party. They agreed. My parents dropped me at my friend’s house. I went in and came to know that the birthday party was on the next day. I ran to the gate but my parents had already left. I had ten rupees in my pocket. So I took a rickshaw home. That night I had to sleep without dinner. I had a glass of milk and fruits. That was the day when everything went wrong.
